SVP TORONTO will invest time and money with another community charity in 2011. Could it be your charity?

SVP Toronto partners help charities by contributing our time, skills and pooled funds to strengthen or build the charity’s organizational capacity – which can include areas such organizational strategy, revenue generation, information systems & technology, marketing, governance, human resources, risk management, and financial management.

We work with a charity to assess its organizational capacity areas to determine the areas of need and then develop project-based solutions over a three year period to strengthen the areas of need using SVP Partners’ time, skills and funding.

Request for Letters of Intent - Applications for the 2011 SVP Toronto investment cycle are now closed.

SVP Toronto is seeking letters of intent from agencies operating in the city of Toronto focused on reducing or preventing poverty. Letters of intent must be submitted by January 21st. Each letter will be reviewed and full applications will be invited from a shortlist of up to eight agencies. One agency will be selected in mid-2011 to receive the pro-bono skills and expertise of SVP Toronto Partners to assist in strengthening and growing its operational capacity to achieve its mission of reducing or preventing poverty. The SVP partners bring a breadth and depth of expertise including executives in business, finance, accounting, marketing, human resources, strategy, law and governance. It is our vision that their time and expertise will represent the bulk of the value to the selected agency with funding in the range of $15,000 - $20,000 per year for up to three years available to use on a defined basis to support capacity building.

The agency selected will be the fourth SVP Toronto “Investee Agency” (grant recipient) selected by SVP Toronto. We are currently working with: Eva’s Phoenix ; MicroSkills and Skills for Change.
