SVP Toronto is making a difference

Since 2007 Social Venture Partners Toronto has committed $225,000 in funding through 2012 to three investee agencies and, more important, our partners have already donated 700+ hours of pro bono skills and experience to our investees - Eva's Phoenix Print Shop; MicroSkills and Skills for Change.

So what difference are we making with our funding and skills? According to the Phoenix Print Shop, a social enterprise providing job training for homeless youth, we have helped contribute to a near 70% increase in sales in just two years! SVP Partners have used their business skills to help the print shop implement new estimating software; we have also analyzed key performance indicators which has helped increase sales effectiveness. We are also helping them strengthen their marketing by bringing in Salesforce software and working with staff to launch a new brand.

We are most proud that our investee partners see the difference. In the words of our Alex Djukic, Manager of the Phoenix Print Shop: "The SVP Partners we have worked with have a very high level expertise. As a small enterprise we would not have been able to retain the services of such professionals."
