History

Formed in November 2007, SVPT is a new wave of philanthropy. Built on a venture partnership model, it’s a type of giving that’s more active, and more engaged. By offering our collective expertise and resources, SVPT helps deliver more time and more money for worthy causes — expanding the total “pie” of charitable resources.

The collection of SVP city chapters (now numbering over 20) form a network of individuals who care passionately about making the world a better place. Fundamental to the SVP model is engagement: as well as money, Partners give their time, professional skills, and creativity to work in partnership with local nonprofits to meet community needs and bring about positive social change.
