Area of Focus

SVPT has a funding focus on the prevention or reduction of poverty in Toronto and therefore agencies will only be considered if they administer and deliver programs and services focused on preventing or reducing poverty in terms of longer-term solutions (as opposed to coping), whether on an individual level or systems and policy level.

 

An example of a longer-term solution program would be job skills training for people living on government assistance.
